Christianity Will Be Talk About In New York City!
If you are not a fan of the National Football League…then you might not know that QB Tim Tebow was traded today to the New York Jets. The former Denver Broncos QB was traded because the Broncos signed Peyton Manning as their new QB!
Leave it up to GOD to strategically place one of the most popular and publicly devoted Christians in the largest city in American and the media capital of the WORLD! I am not sure why this humble, but, incredibly competitive kid from Jacksonville Florida……has caught the world by storm because of his Christian values. He is loved and hated by many because of his faith. However, I do know that over the last few years millions of people have searched the web to find out about his faith. Open expressions of prayer (Tebowing) got people talking about their own faith or lack thereof. Moreover, millions of dollars have been funneled to Christian orphanages, hospitals and schools in third world countries directly because of Tim Tebow’s public Christian passion and purposeful mission that only uses football as a platform.
Are you a little skeptical? Not sure god really cares about the publicity of QB…..
If you don’t think God can strategically guide a person with this much positive Christian influence and place them in highly influential position…..then you should go read the story of Esther, Moses, Joesph, David and other biblical characters. He did it then, has done it forever………..and could be doing it again.
What does this say about Denver?
Probably nothing.... However, this Sunday we will be continuing our Game Of Thrones message series and will look at peculiar story from the life of David….. Here is a little fun clip from this coming Sunday:
1 Samuel 26:9-11
9 But David said to Abishai, “Don’t destroy him! Who can lay a hand on the LORD’s anointed and be guiltless? 10 As surely as the LORD lives,” he said, “the LORD himself will strike him; either his time will come and he will die, or he will go into battle and perish. 11 But the LORD forbid that I should lay a hand on the LORD’s anointed!
