There is an old Johnny Cash song that has the line….“I have been everywhere man!”

That has been my theme song the last three weeks as I have spent almost every night visiting one of our fine Home Teams! Someone asked me the other day home many I had been to and I told them I had lost count. However, I then shared with them how great the experience has been.

I have really enjoyed meeting so many new people and also reconnecting relationally with so many that I have known by name and face only. I have seen first hand how wonderful all our Home Team leaders are and what a great ministry we have going through our Home Teams.

I have enjoyed the personal conversations, answering questions, casting vision and really getting a pulse of where the majority of our Team Church people are these days.  This has been a fun and meaningful experience. I am taking mental notes, sharing with our staff and I believe this will help us continue to stay on the right path as we desire to be the church in our community that God has called us to be for Him. I know this unique experience has also been helpful for so many of you too.

I have only a few more to hit and I will have completed my mission of attending the majority of our Home Team Groups. As we move forward together into the Holiday Season…..lets begin preparing our hearts and minds for this incredible ministry season.  We are surrounded by people who are not looking forward to the Holiday Season because of numerous reasons…..lets be ready to SHARE our hope this year and lead people to the satisfaction they are truly desiring.
